DAVA  KRAUSE

Most recently Dava was a Second Rounder (Top 10%) in the 2014 Austin Film Festival Teleplay Competition for her spec script for “Mike and Molly.” This is her second year placing in the competition.

Dava has been a nationally touring comedian for over a decade. Over the years she has been honored to share the stage with Kira Soltanovich, Anthony Jeselnik, and Maria Bamford, just to name a few.

Dava’s comedy album, “Child of the 80’s,” which features 40 minutes of original material including 6 original songs, was a number one album when it debuted on iTunes and Amazon.

After much success as the head writer for Bass Player Live, a live concert and award show hosted by Jim Norton and presented by Revolver Magazine, Dava was hired as the Head Writer for the “Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor,” which launched the weekend-long festivities for Rock On The Range. Dava also wrote for The Roast of Dee Snyder and The Roast of Zaak Wylde, which were presented by Revolver and aired on AXS TV.

This past year, Dava launched, “Ghost Shrink,” a web series about a paranormal psychologist posing as an exorcist. This is Dava’s third web series that she co-wrote, co- produced, and acted in. Dava’s second web series “Inappropriate Fairy Tales,” was a finalist in the IVFest.

As a Theater Major at Northwestern University, Dava wrote and produced several plays that were performed on campus. She also performed improv and written dozens of sketches that she performed at The Second City Training Center and The Improv Olympic in Chicago as well as The Upright Citizen’s Brigade in both Los Angeles and New York.

Dava currently resides in Brooklyn with her Husband and a menagerie of animals.
